Taohuajian Scenic Area is a national 4A-level scenic spot and an important part of Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area, with beautiful natural scenery, profound ancient culture and long history of religious culture. Embraced by mountains and waters, the whole scenic area covers an area of 4.5 square kilometers, which is divided into east and west parts. There are famous primitive rock paintings of General Cliff and Neolithic ruins of Taohuajian in the west, and Taohuajian in the east with quiet scenery. There are "36 scenic spots" composed of strange stones, secluded streams, Loong pond and thousand-year-old temples, which integrate cultural landscape and natural scenery.

Taohuajian features green mountain, clear river, deep valleys, tall peaks, beautiful forests, gurgling streams and picturesque scenes. It makes people feel like they are in the paradise described by Tao Yuanming. The whole mountain in the scenic spot is like a traditional Chinese painting, with different rocks, among which there are many landscapes such as the jade rabbit looking at the moon, the ape watching the stream, and the three toads catching up with the sun, which are vivid. Maer Peak, the main peak, is 427.7 meters above sea level. In April of each year, peach blossoms bloom everywhere. Peach blossoms and ravine water add radiance and beauty to each other. The scenery is as beautiful as a picture and attracts many tourists. Therefore, it is called Taohuajian, meaning Peach Blossom Stream.

Taohuajian is not only a natural landscape with flowing water, but also a historical relic. The rock painting of General Cliff, known as the Oriental Heavenly Book, is the historical relic of the ancient Goumang clan tribe, the pilgrimage center of the ancestors of Dongyi 10,000 years ago, the astronomical observation platform for the people of all ages to observe the sun, moon and stars, and the altar of the country to worship the ancestors of heaven. It is the earliest astronomical observatory in China that has been discovered so far, and it has a clear clan mark which is alternated with the totem emblem. The sun, astrology, portraits of seedlings and social gods depicted in rock paintings are simple in shape, strange in image and full of mystery. During the stroll, the original style still exists, which makes people feel as if they were living a life of hunting and picking with the ancestors of Dongyi.
